陈博士是资质天赋方面研究项目的督导,香港中文大学教授,中国心理协会杂志的副编辑。他是香港教育部关于特别有天赋的学生测量顾问小组的成员,也是课程发展理事会为学校基础的天赋项目而设置的教师培训课程的专门顾问委员,在香港浸会大学儿童发展中心担任顾问工作。同时,陈博士在许多基金的研究经费申请方面也是一名专家,包括优秀教育基金,大学教育资助委员会和香港浸会大学的研究基金。
陈博士的研究兴趣囊括了创造力、自我概念、成就动机、社会心理和个性发展。通过与本地及海外研究者的合作,他发展了多项人格特征调查问卷,动机倾向量表,多角度多领域自我概念量表。他是香港荷勒高谨创意测试的正规研究的合作首席调查员。现在他是一项名为“Wallach-Kogan创造性测试电子版”的大规模创造性项目的合作领导者。
